Position Overview:
The Inventory Control Specialist will play a vital role in maintaining accurate records of all useable parts from vehicles received, organizing inventory, and ensuring smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, enjoy working in a collaborative team, and possess a working knowledge of automotive parts.
Please note: This position requires actively working in the yard and handling automotive parts in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and document purchased vehicles delivered from weekly auctions.
- Assign and record stock numbers for all vehicles and parts received.
- Enter inventory data for all useable parts using handheld PDA devices.
- Tag parts with stock numbers and ensure proper documentation is attached.
- Photograph and package parts for storage or shipping.
- Box and store parts in their designated locations.
- Assist with preparing parts for customer pickups or shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, including general warehouse maintenance tasks.
- Follow best practices and safety protocols to ensure efficient daily operations.
Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems.
- Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift heavy and move parts safely as part of the job duties.
