Cleaner - Second Shift (Multiple)

A school cleaner's primary responsibility is to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for students and staff. Duties may include:

• Cleaning: Vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting in classrooms, offices, locker rooms, restrooms, and gymnasium
• Spot cleaning: Addressing spills and other unexpected cleaning needs
• Sanitizing: Cleaning bathrooms and other public areas
• Maintaining supplies: Checking stock levels and replenishing toiletries
• Reporting issues: Notifying the supervisor or caretaker of any hazards or defects
• Working with others: Collaborating with teachers and other staff to address maintenance issues
• Following procedures: Adhering to the school's cleaning schedule and safety requirements
• Training: Participating in training sessions as needed
• Promoting safety: Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people

Candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

• One year of experience in building cleaning and minor maintenance activities

District Criteria:

• Daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, and gymnasium.
• Minor repairs to electrical and heating equipment.
