What are the responsibilities and job description for the Security Monitor position at Glens Falls City School District?
Glens Falls City School District has an opening for a Security Monitor a the Middle School. This is a full-time, 10-month position.
District Criteria:
- Monitor admittance of persons to the premises
- Reports unusual conditions or disturbances
- Monitors surveillance equipment
- Screens visitors
- Patrols lobbies and hallways
Performance Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to deal courteously, yet firmly and tactfully, with the public
- Ability to think quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Good power of obersvation
- Sound judgement and physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position
Job Qualifications
Candidate must meet the following minimum criteria: Graduation from High School.
Preferred Qualities of Security Monitor:
- Working knowledge of the problems of young adults;
- Ability to perform the actions necessary to maintain order and insure the protection of persons and security of the school building;
- Ability to exercise sound judgment in carrying out supervision and security duties;
- Ability to relate to, get along with and command the respect of young adults.
