This team plays a crucial customer service-based and operational role within the organization by taking ownership of administrative tasks such as medical billing and resolving edit and denials. Responsibilities
How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
- Corrects pre-billing edits and ensures outbound claim compliance Follow-up on A/R in accordance with pre-established goals/ proper data recording
- Utilize all available tools to pursue accurate and timely reimbursement including internal tools, as well as payer meetings, payer websites, and provider representatives
- Promptly resolve denied claims with a goal of one touch resolution
- Identify trends/errors and coordinate with colleagues to suggest areas of improvement
- Utilize active listening skills when communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively participate in further education/growth opportunities.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required
- Successful completion of an AAS in health administration, business, finance, or related field preferred
- At least two (2) years’ experience in Healthcare Business Office required
- Familiarity with Medicaid and/or Medicare rules and regulations and/or commercial billing
- Knowledge of insurance, light coding, billing required
- Customer service skills and attention to detail is a must
