How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities

• Accurately enters charges into the system from encounters generated by Health Centers and hospital billing generated by providers. Reviews claims for missing or inaccurate coding. Follows up on routine issues; referring more complex issues.
• Generates billing for insurance companies. Investigates and corrects errors generated on the error report to insure all billing is submitted correctly, contacting insurance company, health center or patient if necessary for information. Transmits electronic claims and retrieves confirmation.
• Post payments on a daily basis. Reviews denials and responds appropriately. Refers any denials or issues related to coding to Claims Specialist
• Contacts insurance companies regarding unpaid claims. Will follow through to ensure resolution of these claims.

Education/Accredited Programs

Skills/Abilities

• Typing
• Strong computer skills
• Should possess initiative and be results oriented.
• Ability to apply basis concepts of math, calculate figures
• Ability to communicate, speak effectively with various constituencies
• Ability to read and interpret business documents, policy and procedure manuals
Some medical terminology, CPT-4 and ICD-9 knowledge preferred.

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $ 17.25 to $25.86

per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
