The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Budget will provide analytics and reporting for all areas of financial planning and budget as well as operational analytics on an as needed basis to support both our clinical and non-clinical teams. Works with members of Finance to identify and provide reports and education needed to monitor & forecast hospital finances. Works with GFH department leaders to provide operational reports and analytics with the goal of improving overall financial performance and business processes

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential
Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and assembly of the hospital's operating budget in cooperation with department leaders and Health System colleagues.
- Review and analyze all budgets submitted for reasonableness with respect to revenue and cost.
- Perform ongoing budget to actual analytics leading up to and during the monthly close process, maintaining a detailed knowledge at the transaction level of operating expense and other operating revenue accounts.
- Process grant activity including, but not limited to, expense review and tagging, voucher submission review and reconciliation, invoice creation and payment posting, and communicating directly with grant managers.
Education/Accredited Programs
- The Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Budget must have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- A minimum of two years of prior relevant experience is required, including experience collecting and analyzing data.
- Experience in a healthcare setting is also preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Proven written and oral communication skills are a must with the ability to articulate somewhat complex financial information to a wide variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
- A high level of computer and software competency is required including an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and prior Experience working in an ERP/Accounting system.
- Problem solving and analytical skills are a must.

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $60,405.80 to $90,608.70 annually. Salary is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
