The Staff Development and Training Coordinator is responsible for training a diverse team in a patient-centered experience to support the ‘at the time of service’ including but not limited to check-in, check-out, appointment scheduling, registration, eligibility verification and benefit interpretation. Ability to successfully onboard Access staff to operational nuances, assuring success for our adult learner. Coordination of training schedule to ensure successful onboarding and orientation. Development and updating of training material for staff.

Responsibilities
- Provides skill enhancement training including but not limited to Patient Experience.
- Provides web-based eligibility training including how to request, how to read and how to interpret responses.
- Provides demographic and insurance training, including all third-party payer product lines and contractual agreement to all departments performing registration throughout Glens Falls Hospital (Rehab, Cancer Center, Glens Falls Medical Group, etc).
- Follows up on errors to identify trends, provide re-education as well as ensures any needed updates are completed with training material
Education/Accredited Programs
- High School or GED required; Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
- 3-5 years registration experience in Hospital or Physician Practice
Skills/Abilities
- Success defined as a self-motivated communicator and partner with competencies in Glens Falls Hospital (GFH) Patient Access policies, procedures, and related software
- The Staff Development and Training Coordinator plays a key role in development and implementation of best practice standard work for the staff who work in the Patient Access division of the hospital
- The Staff Development and Training Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining and keeping current on changes at Glens Falls Hospital and within the industry.
- The Staff Development and Training Coordinator plays a key role in development of staff complete with a QA and Productivity Monitoring Program, weekly reports and a remedial training program.

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $19.88 to $29.83 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
