Position Reports to: V.P. of Clinical Services
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
POSITION SUMMARY & OBJECTIVES:
Part time clinical staff position in the Health Center at Glenwood Academy, with duties and responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Medication management in both the Health Center and campus cottages, including supervising the administration of medication and health outcomes, by House Parents at Glenwood Academy.
- Provide crisis management as needed.
- Use SNAP Health Center health documentation to provide all medication, visit and treatment documentation. Charting is completed by the end of each shift.
- Serve as a resource on campus for health issues.
- Follow all HIPPA Guidelines to ensure student/parent/guardian confidentiality.
- Maintain communication with parent/guardians/staff regarding student health, emergencies, campus medical issues or communicable disease outbreak.
- Participation in Glenwood Academy’s various staff meetings, in-service workshops, and in quality assurance activities. Maintain all applicable licensure and certifications.
- Be familiar and able to implement medical policies and procedures of Glenwood Academy
- Provide an end shift summary.

- Work collaboratively as part of a team.
- May be asked to provide support during school events, programs and meetings for Glenwood Academy.
- Available to work every Friday 1:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. and fill in when daily nurses are off.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years’ experience with Child/Adolescent Nursing (preferred)
- RN (licensed in IL) or LPN (licensed in IL)
- SNAP Health Center Software experience
- Knowledge of word processing and basic computer functions; intermediate to advanced level of computer skills required
- Valid Driver’s license
- No history of child abuse or neglect
- Ability to pass background check and drug screen
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $21.00 – $30.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
