Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Van Driver to transport passengers safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a valid commercial driver's license and a proven track record in driving vans, buses, or limousines. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle. The successful applicant will provide a safe and comfortable transportation experience for our passengers, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport passengers to and from various destinations, including schools, offices, and social events
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and meets all safety and regulatory requirements
- Provide excellent customer service, responding promptly to passengers' needs and concerns
- Communicate effectively with passengers, providing clear instructions and directions
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy
- Maintain accurate records of trips, including routes, passengers, and any issues encountered during the journey
- Comply with all traffic laws and regulations, and adhere to company policies and procedures
- Drive a variety of vehicles, including vans, buses, and limousines, depending on the needs of the organization
Requirements:
- Valid drivers license
- Proven experience as a van driver, bus driver, or limousine driver
- Strong customer service skills, with a focus on passenger safety and comfort
- Ability to maintain a clean and well-maintained vehicle
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with passengers of all ages and backgrounds
- Familiarity with paratransit services or school bus driving experience
- Ability to lift, push, or pull items as needed
- A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
- A clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
