Primary Function
Maintain the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge buildings in an attractive and safe manner at all times. Provide banquet services for guests and assist with guest requests and needs.
Reporting and Accountability:
The Lead House Person reports to, and is accountable to the Lodge Housekeeping Supervisor as well as the Lodge Manager and Assistant Lodge Manager.
Authority:
The Lead House Person has the support and authority necessary to carry out the responsibilities and tasks described in this job description and other responsibilities as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor and Lodge Management.
Physical Requirements:
- Adequate physical agility to perform normal cleaning and banquet set up activities such as climbing ladders, kneeling, reaching, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping, using hand tools and power tools, etc.
- Ability to push, pull, carry and lift 45 pounds
- Current and valid Colorado driver’s license with excellent driving record
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and follow verbal or written instructions in English.
Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Other Requirements:
- More maintenance experience can positively affect job level
- Adequate computer skills to be able to perform necessary department computer tasks (for example, logging maintenance activities, inputting time records, inputting preventative maintenance and service information, etc.)
- Prefer one or two years’ experience in housekeeping or customer service
Work Hours and Days:
Since the operating hours of the Lodge are 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, the House Person’s work hours and days must be flexible, including nights and weekends, to meet the needs of Lodge Operations and Guest Services.
