Glenwood leads the state in providing behavioral health care and educational services that are responsive and complementary to a continuum of care for persons with unique mental health disorders. Glenwood supports mental health and educational professionals and promotes research in these specialized areas.
Glenwood is seeking a Residential Home Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the treatment plans of Individuals served, as well as supervising and managing direct care staff. About 75% of scheduled hours will be spent on shift, providing direct care to the residents, while the remaining time will be dedicated to managing administrative and programmatic tasks. This includes ensuring that all property assigned to the home, as well as the home itself, is well-maintained, providing after-hours on-call backup on a rotating basis for the division, and conducting regular staff meetings with program staff.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Comply with Code of Ethics and demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all clients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment
- Maintain the certification/operational activities of the adult residential homes
- Maintain the program's budget and oversee the fiscal resources assigned to the residential homes
- Maintain the health of the individuals through medication administration, attend medical appointments, safety training, and positive behavioral supports
- Monitor the compliance of the adult residential programs with quality assurance systems consistent with the agency's policies and philosophy of service
- Communicate with family members, QDDP, BCBAs, and other members of the treatment team, responsible for the care of the individuals in the home.
- Complete individual-related paperwork, grocery shopping, order necessary supplies and place work orders as appropriate.
- Supervise and manage the staff of the adult residential programs to include employee relations consistent with the agency's policies and practices; scheduled 1:1 meetings monthly
- Responsible for developing direct staff to meet and exceed competency-based training and other required training
- Participate in a formal Performance Management process with direct reports
- Work with human resources to recruit and retain qualified talent for the adult residential homes
- Conduct special project/assignments; attends meetings and fulfills professional development as appropriate

Qualifications
EDUCATION/LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
- Valid Alabama driver's license and must be insurable through the agency’s insurance carrier
- Must be cleared through the Dept. of Human Resources Child Abuse & Neglect Registry as well as the ABI/FBI and pass all required pre-employment and background screening
- Must be certified or certifiable in CPR, 1st Aid, Managing Crisis Safety (MCS), and MAC within 430 days of employment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 21 years of age or older
- 1 year of direct care experience
- 1 year of experience as a supervisor, or administrator in a residential facility in healthcare, human services, or similar preferred
