POSITION SUMMARY
The Nurse Tech is responsible for assisting in the delivery of both direct and indirect nursing care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. In the Nurse Tech role, you will be working under a licensed nurse or a physician to provide care to patients. You will conduct routine but important tasks, including cooking for, feeding, bathing, dressing, and transporting patients. You will be expected to visit patients and ensure their comfort on a regular basis. When necessary, you will perform basic checkups alongside a registered nurse, maintain patient charts, collect samples, and perform other administrative and clinical tasks. JOB DUTIES
The Nurse Tech position is PRN as needed and required to work a minimum of two shifts per month, one weekend shift per month, and two holidays per year. The Nurse Tech provides basic nursing care and assists with admission, discharge, and transfer of patients. The Nurse Tech will provides basic n ursing care and obtain routine vital signs. The Nurse Tech will help maintain the personal hygiene of patients and monitor the patient's well-being and medical condition. The Nurse Tech will help with p atient care procedures, including check-in, organization of patient histories, chart preparation, and medical examination. The Nurse Tech will e ducate patients on medical issues and solutions and assist with feeding as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Senior Nursing Students who will graduate within one (1) year (Level IV students). For ICU and CVI positions only. Nursing Students may be in Level III Nursing. Patient care experience preferred. BLS Healthcare Provider Status - required within 30 days from hire date.
