Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, organization, development, evaluation, and effective direction of housekeeping and laundry services to maintain impeccable cleanliness in common areas, resident rooms, and throughout the community. Assist with resident needs and participate in mealtime cleaning and service.
- Work extensively throughout the facility, maintaining frequent interaction with staff, residents, families, and visitors. Provide guidance to housekeeping and laundry staff, emphasizing exceptional customer service and positive interactions with residents, families, volunteers, and colleagues.
- Take pride in ensuring the cleanliness of the building and resident rooms, setting high standards for housekeeping and laundry staff and service delivery to residents and guests.
- Under general supervision, perform various tasks including ordering supplies and organizing cleaning schedules for the building.
- Deliver prompt and excellent customer service to residents.
- Maintain an organized and proactive cleaning schedule.
- Collaborate with contractors as needed to maintain the building and grounds in good repair.
- Coordinate closely with the Maintenance and Kitchen Director to uphold cleanliness standards for the building and flooring.
- Be available on-call and flexible to respond promptly to building needs.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across departments to ensure all resident needs are met.
- Perform job duties with a focus on environmental care.
- Maintain a clean environment for residents and adhere strictly to infection control practices. Recognize and report safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Promote a safe work environment by recognizing and mitigating potential risks.
- Complete maintenance service requests for equipment repairs, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Implement principles of proper body mechanics when lifting and moving objects.
- Use transfer techniques that align with proper body mechanics.
- Participate in disaster planning drills while on duty.
