SUMMARY

The Women's Center at GLIDE seeks a compassionate and organized Program Coordinator to support individuals who identify as women and are in need of housing, essential resources, health and mental health services, and case management. Clients often face homelessness, gender-based violence, and trauma.

The Program Coordinator will assist the Senior Director in planning, coordinating, and implementing the Center's services, while providing direct client support and maintaining the Center's operations. The role includes facilitating groups, organizing events, and collaborating with community partners to ensure services align with funding requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain relationships and collaborations with GLIDE's programs, established, and new community partners to benefit participants and promote GLIDE's Women's Center.
  • Be responsible for the coordination, creation, and maintenance of service and / or staff schedules and business documentation (e.g., reports, flyers).
  • In collaboration with case managers, develop and document Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) for clients, including data entry and reporting through CRM tools.
  • Organize and manage Women's Center events, including all logistical aspects.
  • Provide data coordination and quality assurance checks to ensure services meet predetermined standards and client satisfaction.
  • Provide low-threshold advocacy and case management, which includes referral, linkages, and assistance to health services, legal aid, and other human services and resources to support clients in reaching their goals for improved safety, wellness, and quality of life.
  • Conduct street and community outreach and attend community events to reach women and promote the Women's Center.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to assign administrative tasks, referrals, and cases to program staff. Ensure timely referral processing and allocation of new cases to staff.
  • Perform triage, intakes, needs assessments, service planning, service coordination, and follow-up contacts in person, by email, or by phone with clients and other providers.
  • Apply strength-based services that are centered around motivational interviewing, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee group sessions, activities, workshops, and individual support services for clients. Lead or co-facilitate women's educational and empowerment groups virtually and onsite.
  • Maintain files and database records to track client progress. Prepare reports, success stories, and challenges for internal review and reporting to external funders and stakeholders. Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all reporting requirements.
  • Adhere to professional boundaries and standards, including following ethical principles and regulatory practices. Comply with all laws and requirements regarding HIPAA, confidentiality, child protective services, contractual agreements, etc.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits, including collaborating with co-workers, meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, and attending and actively participating in meetings, supervision, case conferences, client conferences, and in-service trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, sociology, criminal justice) preferred; or at least four years of experience providing services (e.g., case management or coordination of services) to women experiencing homelessness, domestic violence, gender-based violence, and / or incarceration.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the psycho-social and economic issues that impact women.
  • Group facilitation experience preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Women's Center staff and other GLIDE departments.
  • Skill in developing processes and operations to support the implementation of new ideas and approaches.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches to supporting vulnerable women with a range of complex needs, particularly women of color experiencing homelessness, poverty, and trauma.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills, with keen attention to detail, particularly in documentation of case files and database updates.
  • Ability to manage stress effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and philosophy of GLIDE.
  • 25 - $30 an hour

    This role is covered by the collective bargaining agreement.
