Payroll/Benefits Administrator

About the Role-
Primary Duties:
- Enter and review of the weekly payroll time data
- Setting up new hires and performing all employee maintenance including status changes, pay changes, garnishments to ensure accuracy prior to payroll execution
- Administering regulatory requirements
- Implement and maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency
- Audit payroll data
- Support and communicate with all employees in the stores and home office on payroll and benefit matters
- Administering benefit plans, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs to include orientation, timely enrollment/termination, and auditing/approving monthly invoices
- Calculating and monitoring benefit hours and usage
- Prepare required monthly, quarterly and annual reports
- Write and run reports as required using ADP Reporting
- Strong understanding of Federal and State laws as they relate to both income tax withholding and labor regulations
Experience and Skills:
- 2 - 5 years of related multi-state payroll experience utilizing ADP or other similar payroll applications
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws
- Ability to respect, protect and maintain highly confidential information
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong computer literacy skills including Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills
- Has shown ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data, ability to provide excellent support
- Ability to work independently, or with little supervision
