What are the responsibilities and job description for the Concrete Quality Control Inspector position at GLO Resources LLC?
Glo Resources is currently hiring Concrete Quality Control Inspectors to work in Baton Rouge, LA. The pay rate is between $22-$25 per hour depending on experience. The schedule is Monday – Friday, usually 8–12-hour days with occasional overtime depending on project deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a reputable company.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Must be able to read tape measures, blueprints/ shop drawings.
- Must have basic math skills.
- Verify dimensional accuracy of formwork, steel quantities, and placement of all hardware per drawings.
- Inspection of previous and finished precast concrete units initializing drawings to ensure the product is within industry tolerances and job specs.
- Mark, tag, and identify products.
- Keep neat records and markups as necessary.
- Work alongside other inspectors, production associates, and management to perform duties as required to meet plant objectives.
- Experience with precast concrete inspection and have industry certifications with PQS1, NPCA, and/or PCI required at hire OR must have the ability to obtain within 6 months of being hired.
- Bilingual preferred. (Spanish)
- May be assigned other duties, as necessary.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including:
- Standing for prolonged periods.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching.
- Pushing and pulling heavy objects.
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
