GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced HDD Working Foreman in Natchitoches, LA.
Rate of Pay: $25.00-$30.00 an hour depending on experience
Per Diem: $100.00 a day every day worked.
Schedule: 5/10's Monday-Friday. Willing to work weekends when needed. Guaranteed 40 hours per week.
Duration: This is a permanent position for the right candidate.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide supervision to assigned crew to effectively achieve a safe, high quality, and performance-oriented work environment. Lead crew in following specific instructions for processes, procedures, policies, and working details in executing work each day. Must be able to perform required tasks involved in the construction and maintenance of gas mains and services and be qualified to do the following and related work as assigned:
- Excavating and backfilling of ditches, trenches, bell holes, in & around concrete structures, underground facilities, above ground facilities, etc., using proper tools and equipment as required.
- Locating of underground facilities using proper tools and equipment, including electronic locating equipment.
- Must be skilled in the operations of directional drilling rigs and guidance tracker systems.
- Installing or abandoning gas mains and services.
- Testing for, locating and repairing gas leaks. 6.
- Perform internal and external cleaning operations on parts, equipment, and structures, removing dirt, rust, scale, etc., using hand or power tools as required.
- Safely operate Company's field vehicles, equipment, and tools as required.
- Taking measurements, cutting, and joining pipe as applicable.
- Corrosion control related work as applicable to main and service installation and abandonment.
- Perform and manage housekeeping for crew.
- Manage and initiate all aspects of workflow and scheduling tasks related through the customer/inspector (onsite representative). This is to ensure the Foreman is planning out work weeks in advance to allow for locate call in timing and to avoid having gaps in productive work each week.
- Plan and coordinate weekly and daily field activities with Construction Supervisor.
EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Effectively plan, coordinate, and execute projects/work to maximize crew performance for safety, quality and productivity as defined in Company Metrics.
- Maintain and manage documentation and administrative tasks in a timely manner, per company policy as it relates to timekeeping, JSAs, incident reports, pre/post job inspections and pictures, etc.
- Maintain accountability amongst crew and manage assets/equipment/tools within crew base.
- Provide ongoing guidance, coaching, counseling and performance feedback/evaluation of employees to motivate and prepare them for growth in current and future positions, along with input from Superintendent
- Manage/monitor spending to ensure financial targets are achieved, including eliminating waste where practical.
- Must meet all required gas system Operator Qualifications (OQ) as defined for this position.
- Understand and adhere to the Company's safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Understand Code of Federal Regulations 49, Dept. of Transportation Office of Pipeline Safety regulations as they apply to this position.
- Within 30 days after employment, know the location of, and be able to operate, all of the firefighting equipment and know what kind of equipment to use on electrical, oil, gas, and other fires.
- Possess or ability to obtain a CDL
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Able to bend, push, pull, squat, and lift up to 50 Pounds.
- Must have strength and endurance adequate for arduous labor in all kinds of outdoor weather conditions.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be particularly alert in observing hazards and avoiding accidents.
- Required to attend and take part in safety meetings.
- Able and willing to work in unusual surroundings, as well as the normal working conditions pertaining to this job.
- Must be willing to work irregular or extra hours as required.
- Able to receive and execute orders and instructions in such a manner as to gain respect and confidence of supervision, peers, and subordinates.
