What are the responsibilities and job description for the Horizontal Directional Driller position at GLO Resources LLC?
GLO Resources is currently hiring for a Horizontal Directional Driller to work in Natchitoches, LA.
The pay rate is between $23.00-$26.00 per hour depending on experience.
Per Diem: $100.00 a day for every day worked.
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 am -5:00 pm with Overtime. Willing to work weekends when needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manages all well bore paths and penetration rate, checking gauges and listening to equipment to assess drilling conditions and adjust drilling or alter equipment by company and industry standards.
- Assists with the installation of proper pulling gear and hook-up product.
- Sets up equipment to include: the drill, alarm, water tanks, and grounding the machine.
- Maintains records of all data and prepares required documentation.
- Diagnoses and maintains company equipment per service requirements and safety guidelines to ensure efficiency in the maintenance of all company assets and locations.
- Communicates continuously with the HDD Locator to confirm the location of the drill head.
- Collaborates with various departments to manage workflows for all projects, ensures adequate supplies, productivity, and safety, and prepares schedules for all projects.
- Communicates and represents the organization to clients, the public, government, and other external sources.
- Conducts post-job quality checks.
- Operates truck in a manner that ensures compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Follows required company and DOT reporting procedures.
- Maintains paperwork during the day including DVIR and driver’s logbook.
- Ensures the truck has current licenses, tags, permits, and proof of insurance.
- Performs other position duties when requested.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience as a Horizontal Directional Driller.
- # years of experience with underground utilities.
- Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
- Sets up equipment to include: the drill, alarm, water tanks, and grounding the machine.
- Maintains records of all data and prepares required documentation.
- Communicates continuously with the HDD Locator to confirm the location of the drill head.
- Follows required company and DOT reporting procedures.
- Maintains paperwork during the day including DVIR and driver’s logbook.
- Performs other positions and duties when requested.
- Valid Driver's License
