What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Parts Clerk position at GLO Resources LLC?
GLO Resources is currently hiring a Shipping/Receiving Parts Clerk to work in a busy fabrication shop in Gonzales, LA. The pay for this position is $25 per hour DOE. This position works Monday – Friday 7 am – 4:30 pm.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Forklift Operations, QuickBooks, Ability to effectively use and operate Windows computer software, Shipping and Receiving, and loading and unloading of shipments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing slips or purchase orders, and inspect for damages or discrepancies.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely, selecting appropriate shipping methods, and generating shipping labels.
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular inventory counts.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment safely and according to company guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal departments to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently.
- Assist other shop personnel by ordering and supplying Tools and Parts needed for the job.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor when required.
- Assists with training of new hires.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Forklift Operation is REQUIRED.
- Experience with Microsoft Office is REQUIRED.
- Must have effective computer operating skills.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a REQUIRED.
- Inventory and Shipping and Receiving experience is a PLUS.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced Industrial Environment is REQUIRED.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year experience required.
