The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, we are currently looking for a Accounting/Payroll Technician.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Assisting the Budget Analyst in audits and preparing required financial reports
- Performing audits and preparing financial statements for the activity.
- Preparing timecards for employees and making time-keeping entries for payroll preparation.
- Validating employee pay status (PTO, LWOP, etc.) and verifying approved PTO and Overtime requests.
- Ensuring timecards are signed by the employee and initialed by the respective Department Manager.
- Inputting timesheet hours into the Work Management System (WMS).
- Maintaining ACRN daily charges for weekly reports to the COR.
- Preparing bi-weekly payroll for submission to the Corporate Finance Office, including reports for ADP, PTO, Cost Point, and Leave.
- Notifying the Project Manager and HR/Administrative Assistant of employee absences or tardiness daily.
- Coordinating with the HR/Administrative Assistant on payroll-related issues.
- Balancing Labor Distribution Reports in Cost Point for Public Vouchers.
- Establishing new employee records in WMS and Cost Point.
- Assisting with daily maintenance and preparation of Public Vouchers.
- Maintaining payroll reports and filing them by pay periods.
- Adhering to corporate core values, policies, and procedures.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum:
- Associate Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with three (3) years of related experience, OR five (5) years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and operating a personal computer.
- General computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong accounting, mathematics, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize, schedule, and execute tasks effectively.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Purchasing and Supply/Logistics.
- Understanding Purchase Order systems and processes.
- Experience with military or ship maintenance operations is a plus.
