The journey begins here - with Global- a 1st Flagship Company, we are currently looking for an Electrician II.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Installs, repairs shore power to ships.
- Shall be able to instruct Electrician Helper when assigned.
- Provide input to ensure assignments are accomplished on time and within cost.
- May be required to travel up to 25% to conduct company business.
- Must know all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to the electrical evolutions and environmental protection.
- Assist in the receipt, moor and departure of vessels.
- Adhere to all corporate core values, policies, and procedures in the execution of all responsibilities.
- Must be able to work effectively with co-workers in a professional manner at all times.
- Must be available to work overtime if required.
- May be exposed to electrical shock hazards, steel projections, fall hazards, poor lighting and hazardous chemicals and conditions.
- Shall handle weights to 60 pounds with an average of 40 pounds and carry up to a distance of 200 feet.
- Work phase is normally moderate with short periods of high activity during power outages, severe weather or ship movements.
- Work may require working at extreme heights (not often), climbing vertical and inclined ladders and brief periods of strained positions, such as kneeling, stooping and maneuvering in close quarters.
- Must observe safety precautions and ensure compliance in safety.
- Other work as assigned and which the employee is qualified and able to perform in support of other trades or evolutions required for safe operation of the site and proper execution of contractual requirements.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of relevant ship or industrial electrical experience or relevant experience in the military or a minimum of three (3) years of general electrical experience. Experience in 3-phase wiring and 220/440 wiring systems.
Preferred Qualifications:

Five (5) years of hands-on experience aboard Navy ships or (4) years of relevant ship electrical experience or relevant experience in the military.
