Electrician II

We are currently seeking an Electrician II to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard electrical systems at our Pearl Harbor site.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Installing, overhauling, and repairing shipboard systems such as dehumidification machinery, cathodic protection systems, and fire/flooding alarms.

• Maintaining and troubleshooting electrical components like motors, transformers, control panels, rectifiers, sensing devices, and automatic controls.

• Fabricating, installing, and wiring electrical parts including switch panels, lighting fixtures, resistance heating units, and cubicles.

• Performing inspections and testing of preservation equipment using specialized test tools, recording necessary data for reporting.

• Installing and repairing shore power to ships.

• Instructing Electrician Helpers as needed and collaborating with other departments to complete assignments on time and within cost.

• Assisting in vessel mooring, arrival, and departure operations.

• Following electrical safety procedures, SOPs, and environmental protection standards.

• Working in physically demanding conditions, including lifting up to 60 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces or at heights.

• Being available for overtime and traveling up to 25% for company business.

• Performing additional duties in support of other trades or operational needs of the site.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum:

• Two (2) years of relevant ship electrical experience or equivalent military experience.

• Commercial electrical experience will be considered in lieu of shipboard experience.

Preferred:

• Five (5) years of relevant shipboard or industrial electrical experience or related military background.

• Experience with 3-phase wiring, 220V/440V systems, and shipboard power systems.
