Position Overview:
The Senior FP&A Analyst will be a key contributor in the planning, analysis, and forecasting activities that guide executive decision-making within a dynamic, global manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, an understanding of complex financial models, and the ability to collaborate across various functions and regions. This role will provide insights and recommendations that support the company's financial goals, optimize manufacturing operations, and drive profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for various business units.
- Analyze historical trends, variances, and key financial drivers to enhance forecasting accuracy.
- Develop and implement processes to improve financial planning across global operations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L analysis, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze manufacturing cost drivers, operational efficiencies, and profitability metrics.
- Support management in identifying financial risks, opportunities, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, R&D) to provide financial insights that drive operational performance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping them understand the financial impact of decisions.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling to support key strategic initiatives.
- Build, maintain, and improve financial models to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to manufacturing costs, productivity, and profitability.
- Support data-driven decisions through data mining, financial modeling, and scenario analysis.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve financial reporting processes and tools.
- Develop and implement best practices for data accuracy, timeliness, and process efficiency.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of FP&A tools and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. MBA or CFA preferred.
- 2-5 years of FP&A experience, ideally within a global manufacturing or industrial company.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex data to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
