Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Operate and monitor CCTV systems to ensure comprehensive surveillance of premises.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to ensure safety compliance.
• Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential security risks and implementing appropriate measures.
• Document incidents, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and provide support during investigations.
• Manage conflicts effectively using conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations.

Experience

• Previous experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not required.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention strategies is a plus.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused for extended periods.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective reporting and interaction with others.
• A background in military service or training may be beneficial for certain roles within our security team.

Pay: $23.60 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
