Salesforce Architect
Rockville, MD (Hybrid / Remote options available)
Full-time Position
$145,000 - $160,000/year (Negotiable) Benefits
We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable Salesforce solutions across our organization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, align business needs with technical solutions, and ensure the integrity, security, and performance of the Salesforce platform. This role requires deep technical expertise, business acumen, and a strategic mindset to drive digital transformation and customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end Salesforce solutions that align with business goals and scalable architecture standards.
- Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions using Salesforce best practices.
- Lead and participate in architecture, design, and implementation reviews.
- Define data models, integration patterns, and technical architecture of Salesforce and connected systems.
- Oversee system configuration, custom development, and third-party integrations.
- Provide technical guidance to Salesforce developers, admins, and business analysts.
- Evaluate and implement new Salesforce technologies and features.
- Ensure platform security, compliance, and performance optimization.
- Document architectural decisions, processes, and solution designs.
- Support project planning, effort estimation, and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- 7 years of experience with Salesforce platform and cloud offerings (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).
- 3 years in a Salesforce Architect or similar senior role.
- Strong experience with Salesforce platform configuration, Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOQL, and Flow.
- Expertise in Salesforce integration tools and patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, Middleware, ETL).
- Deep understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, and sharing rules.
- Salesforce certifications such as:
- **Salesforce Certified Application Architect**
- **Salesforce Certified System Architect**
- **Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)** *(preferred or working toward)*
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.
- U.S. Citizenship required (due to federal contract requirements).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Jenkins).
- Background in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.).
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior staff.
