SALESFORCE PROGRAMMER ANALYST
Job Description: As a Salesforce Programmer at NextEra Energy, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom solutions on the Salesforce platform. You will work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other development team members to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business needs. This role requires strong technical skills in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components, as well as a deep understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom solutions and applications on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce technologies.
- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Create and maintain custom Salesforce objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and other configuration changes.
- Develop and enhance Salesforce integrations with other systems using APIs, web services, and middleware solutions.
- Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of Salesforce solutions by following best practices and adhering to Salesforce coding standards.
- Perform regular maintenance, updates, and optimization of existing Salesforce applications and customizations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing timely support to end-users and other team members.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and industry trends to continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
- Document technical designs, configurations, and development processes to ensure comprehensive knowledge sharing and support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including object modeling, security, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Salesforce integration tools and techniques, such as REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and middleware.
- Experience with Salesforce configuration, including custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules.
- Familiarity with Salesforce development tools, such as Salesforce DX, Visual Studio Code, and Git.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to debug and resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required; additional certifications (e.g., Salesforce Platform Developer II, Salesforce App Builder) are a plus.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
