Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Apprentices to join our team and start a new career. Through our Solar Installer Apprenticeship Program, receive your NABCEP Solar PV Associate & Professional Credentials.

Must have an interest in the solar industry pertaining to the design, installation, procurement & operations. Qualified candidates for Apprenticeship funding through WorkSource NC WIOA Grant are either Unemployed, Underemployed, or Receiving Government Assistance.

Candidates without experience will complete an OSHA 10 Safety Certification Pre-Apprenticeship with Global Apprenticeship Foundation.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Solar Installers for hands-on training to ensure projects are completed on time and to correct specifications.
  • Complete virtual training toward your NABCEP Solar PV Credentials.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with residential and commercial installations.
  • Assist installation crews on roofs.
  • Help install solar racking, solar panels, and wiring.
  • Maintains a clean and safe project site.
  • Organize on site material and equipment storage.
  • Highly mindful of safety regulations.
  • Completes projects to national NEC & local AHJ code standards.
  • Learn compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications and best practices.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and learn quickly.
  • Must be willing to work in a harsh hot or cold environment due to weather changes.
  • Must stay on track with Apprenticeship coursework for pay increases.
  • Valid driver’s license, personal transportation to and from various job sites in surrounding NC areas with a clean MVR for insurance purposes.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Certifications, technical school training, and/or electrical experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work harnessed on roofs over one story high.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to climb all types of ladders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Work Location: On the road

Salary : $16 - $25
