Global Atlantic Enterprise Data organization is seeking a VP of Data Governance to lead the design and implementation of our Data Governance function. The role requires an individual with strong data governance experience and exceptional leadership. The role will be hands-on and actively involved in architecting the data management ecosystem. The VP of Data Governance is an integral part of this, overseeing the design and implementation of advanced data management systems with a Data Governance lens. Prior technical expertise with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data processing capabilities is essential, ensuring the highest standards with a focus on enabling high data quality and simplifying the accessibility of data.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Partner with business stewards / business stakeholders on source systems to govern and manage data at system of records / source systems.
- Be a stakeholder and owner on key decisions made at system of records and act as an approving authority to assess risk and impact to downstream consumers and EDH.
- Establish Data Governance and Data Quality as an authority at Global Atlantic.
- Design and manage robust data warehousing governance solutions to support our businesses (Retail, Reinsurance, Investments, Finance, Risk, Legal and Compliance, and other functions) to ensure high-quality data is available for business consumption.
- Engage in strategic initiatives across Retail, Institutional, and Investment business to ensure Data Governance and Data Quality are integral to execution.
- Partner with the head of Enterprise Data Hub (EDH) to lead the strategic planning of data management initiatives.
- Provide thought leadership on advanced data processing techniques to handle large-scale data efficiently and manage the data supply chain.
- Ensure the integrity and security of data through state-of-the-art data governance practices.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate new data management technologies and tools.
- Drive innovation in data analytics and modeling to support predictive analytics and machine learning efforts.
- Define KPIs and KRIs and actively report on these.
- Be an active voice at various committees to represent Data and steer active ownership to forward Data Governance and Data Quality at Global Atlantic.
