What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech-Language Pathologist position at Global Behavior Education Alliance, Inc.?
This is a part-time position with the opportunity to grow to full-time as caseload increases.
- Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct 30 minute sessions with our existing clients. Assist with initial assessments as needed
- Establish treatment priorities that include advising, educating, and counseling
- Complete required documentation (SOAP notes) to record assessment and progress
- Collaborate with physicians, family members, and other clinical providers to provide effective therapies.
- May direct support staff in assisting with treatment
- Stay current on the latest research and treatment techniques in the field of speech-language pathology
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of the job
- Other duties as directed
- Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Requires ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) preferred. Prior experience with co-treatments preferred
- Prior experience with play and language based therapies preferred
- Prior experience working with clients between the ages of 2-21 years old preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Proficiency in utilizing speech-language therapy tools and technology
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills
- Credentialing with insurance carriers is preferred
