Description

• Must be a lead -SENIOR level, wants this person to hopefully become a lead. Needs to be flexible working between both front and back end - prefers heavier on front end
• LOCAL – hybrid, work in office Tues, Weds, Thurs
• Lead 5 years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, REST, SOAP, Microservices, GIT, JUnit, Mockito.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in ReactJS, Node JS.
• Must be able to understand existing development stack involving microservices and react apps and contribute to team goals.
• Experience with content management system like Bloomreach.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux).
• Hands on experience of working with relational databases.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• Knowledge of HTML5 & CSS3.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• JavaScript Unit Testing (e.g., Jest).
  
  

General Purpose

The Senior Java Developer is responsible for designing, writing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and high-performance application software in an Agile environment. This role includes leading development efforts, resolving technical issues, and continuously enhancing development processes. The Senior Java Developer will also mentor junior developers and take on leadership responsibilities as needed.

Position Responsibilities

Development Practices:

• Maintain and enhance automated build and deploy processes using modern CI/CD tools.
• Develop deployment instructions and ensure successful deployments.
• Design and implement automated unit testing frameworks.
• Conduct thorough unit testing and code reviews.

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field.
• 10 years of overall IT experience, 5 years with enterprise software applications.
• 7 years of hands-on experience with Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, REST, SOAP, Microservices, GIT, JUnit, Mockito.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Recommended: SQL Query, Tomcat, Jenkins, Maven, Hibernate, JQuery, JavaScript.
• Knowledge of unit testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience in Agile software development practices.
• Ability to anticipate technical issues and formulate remedial actions.
• Ability to analyze software requirements for feasibility within time and cost constraints.

Interview process: 1 interview coding assessment, Interview will be with (hiring manager) and Enterprise Architect – onsite, if they do well in the interview, they will have them stay and do assessment – 2 hours total
