Overview
GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Lead Oracle Database Administration in Landover, MD to provide support to all design and upgrade efforts encompassing the Oracle Database environments across a large-scale enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Databases are operating efficiently and effectively.
- Support database migrations and consolidations (ad-hoc and scheduled).
- Oversee database replication, which may include the setup for new replication activities.
- Develop Service Design Packages and maintain SOPs for all Oracle database systems.
- Responsible for insuring compliance with all regulations, upgrade and optimize the performance of Oracle Databases and support future planning efforts.
- Configure environments for and in support of all Oracle database related aspects of user acceptance testing, functional acceptance testing, system-level testing, database security testing, installation / migration testing, configuration / compatibility testing, and performance, load and stress testing, as well as support of systems assurance tasks.
