Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Physical Security Technician to join our team. The Senior Physical Security Technician will play a critical role in installing, programming, and servicing access control and surveillance systems for our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the delivery of high-quality security solutions and support our mission of safeguarding our clients' assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Configuration: Install, program, and configure access control and surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, access control panels, intrusion alarm system and related hardware and software components, according to client specifications and project requirements.
- Customer-Facing Responsibilities: Interact directly with clients to assess their security needs, provide technical guidance and recommendations, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the installation and service process.
- Service and Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of security system components and devices to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. Respond promptly to service calls and address customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Shop Configuration: Configure and test security system components and devices in the shop environment prior to installation, ensuring proper functionality and integration with other system components.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to clients and internal teams on security system functionalities, best practices, and maintenance procedures. Act as a subject matter expert and mentor for junior technicians.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, service calls, and maintenance activities. Generate service reports and documentation for clients and internal stakeholders as needed.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks and inspections of security system installations to ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical security and IT certifications or training preferred.
- 5 years of experience in physical security systems installation and service of access control/alarm systems, network camera, and video management systems (VMS): LenelS2, Genetec, Milestone, Axis
- Proficiency in programming and configuring security system software and platforms.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Network configuration of access control and video management systems.
- Experience reading blueprints.
- Knowledge of electrical circuitry.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds
- Comfortable working on a ladder / Lift
- Proficient with basic hand & power tools
- Self-starter and punctual
- Customer-focused
- Alarm certifications (preferred).
