COBOL, CICS, VSAM, MQ, JCL,
Knowledge of SQL Server, Java
COBOL CICS Engineer duties :
Develop from scratch CICS programs that can facilitate read / write to both VSAM and MQ in the same program
Write CICS programs that can orchestrate the execution of both legacy and new CICS transactions in the same unit of work
Analyze and decompose complex CICS software systems and collaborate with and influence others to improve the overall design
Serve as the SME in CICS Development and Support
Troubleshoot and fix financial software problems as they occur
Make recommendations to Production Support, Development, and IT Management to streamline infrastructure and application performance to improve the overall customer experience
Act as a key advisor to Technical Leads, Senior IT team members on Infrastructure and Architecture projects
Guide and participate in training other members of the team
