Position Overview
We are looking for a passionate and professional individual to support the Office of the CEO.
The Senior Director of Stakeholder Relations and Deputy Chief of Staff to the Chief Executive Officer provides key support to maintaining the organization’s most important relationships, manages internal and external projects that are led out of the Office of the CEO, ensures the Office runs according to its strategic timeline to ensure the vision of the organization is being achieved, provides on-the-ground staffing support for the CEO, and more.
Key Responsibilities
Steward: This role will be responsible for maintaining the most important relationships for the organization. These relationships span the organization’s diverse stakeholder groups, including the private and public sector, entertainment industry, foundations and more. This role will support the Chief of Staff to ensure the management of these relationships is running at the highest-level of efficiency. Key to this role are communication skills and relationship management skills. This role will also support the Chief of Staff in ensuring the organizational needs of the Office of the CEO are running at the highest level to ensure the office is effective and efficient. This role will also manage the CEO’s EA to ensure the schedule is prioritized and efficient and is aligned with our stakeholder objectives.
Communicator: Support the Chief of Staff in the development of stronger structure and process for better communication between the office of the CEO and the organization’s departments. As the organization continues to grow, so too does the number of our key stakeholders, often who are handled day to day by different departments. This role needs to communicate and coordinate with people throughout the organization in a professional, clear, articulate, and accurate manner - both verbally and in writing - to ensure we can best support and steward these relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Management (50%)
- Manage top 100 stakeholder relationships with best-in-class stakeholder management programs including sophisticated monitoring/planning processes and correspondence, across government, private sector, artist and NGO communities and more.
- Lead on and support COS with communications from the Office of the CEO (i.e., stakeholder email outreach, social media support, handwritten correspondence, all-team remarks, etc. )
- Ensure all necessary background information/agendas for meetings with key stakeholders, including any preparatory materials, are created and vetted.
- Work with the Chief of Staff to ensure key milestones for the organization’s top-stakeholders are properly acknowledged on an ongoing basis.
- Leverage Salesforce and other integrated systems to proactively monitor and flag stakeholder touchpoints for the CEO and organization. (I.e. automatically flag stakeholders who haven't been communicated with in 30 days, ensuring timely engagement and relationship management.)
Internal Communications (30%):
- Support the Chief of Staff in the development of stronger structure and process for better communication between the office of the CEO and the organization’s departments.
- Communicate and coordinate with multiple departments throughout the organization, stakeholders, artists, policy, etc., in a professional, clear, articulate, and accurate manner - both verbally and in writing - to provide updates as needed, and gain new information that can be used to brief the CEO.
- Develop internal memos, meeting agendas, and talking points as requested.
Program Management (20%):
- Attend meetings, speaking engagements, and events of the Office of the CEO.
- Support major initiatives run out of the Office of the CEO, including coordination on speaking engagements, large-scale projects and other initiatives that may be developed
- Support large internal and external stand-up meetings with preparation, notes, and circulation of minutes
- Any other duties for the betterment and advancement of the office and the mission as assigned
- Reports into the Chief of Staff with a direct line to the CEO
Requirements For Success
Professional Experience
- 7-10 years of experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, or relationship management, with a proven ability to build and sustain high-value relationships across diverse sectors.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role, managing teams and driving strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated success in navigating complex stakeholder landscapes, including corporate, nonprofit, government, and community partnerships.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPA, or equivalent) strongly preferred or equivalent experience in stakeholder relations leadership.
Key Competencies
- Expertise in developing and executing stakeholder engagement strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build trust among diverse audiences.
- Strong understanding of corporate social responsibility and advocacy efforts.
- Proven track record of driving cross-sector collaborations and managing high-impact partnerships.

- Role is based in NYC
- Global Citizen operates on a hybrid work model - 3 days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in our NYC office and 2 days (Monday & Friday) telecommuting.
- Willingness & ability to travel as needed (up to 30%).

Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
