Location: Franklin, VA | Emporia | Windsor | South Boston, VA
Position Overview:
As a Traveling Cleaning Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming retail locations, including T-Mobile, Lendmark, and Verizon stores. Your duties will include a variety of cleaning tasks, scheduled at specific times or with flexibility based on store requirements. You will report directly to the Area Manager and travel between multiple store locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean the interior of assigned retail locations, including doors, floors, rugs, windows, and walls.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles, counters, and furniture.
- Empty trash and recycling bins.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
- Clean and maintain restrooms.
- Notify the Area Manager of unsafe conditions or when cleaning supplies need replenishment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and buffers (as needed).
- Adhere to safety protocols when handling cleaning chemicals.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service when interacting with store staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Schedule:
- T-Mobile Stores: Clean daily for one hour (9:30 AM - 10:30 AM or 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM).
- Lendmark Stores: Clean Wednesdays and Fridays any time after 5:30 PM.
- Verizon Stores: Clean on a flexible schedule.
- Travel between Franklin, Emporia, Windsor, and South Boston is required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous cleaning experience required.
- Reliable transportation is essential to travel between locations.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and safety procedures.
- Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Skills and Certifications:
- Knowledge of disinfecting protocols and cleaning techniques.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high cleaning standards.
- Training or certification in biohazard cleaning (preferred but not required).
