Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with extensive experience in clinical imaging technologies, specifically in radiology and cardiology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-level designs, understanding dependencies, configurations, and installation requirements. This role involves working closely with integration and infrastructure teams to define installation types and critical hardware dependencies, as well as integration touchpoints with EMRs and other image transmission systems.
Key Responsibilities :
High-Level Design : Create high-level designs for new demands or work, focusing on application-level dependencies, configurations, and installations.
Integration : Collaborate with integration and infrastructure teams to define installation types and critical hardware dependencies.
System Knowledge : Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of discrete and integrated information systems elements.
Problem Resolution : Resolve escalated problems, identify root causes, and determine appropriate approaches to ensure resolution.
Stakeholder Interaction : Work with vendors, internal CI staff, and local clinical team members, requiring strong soft skills and the ability to navigate a large organization.
Technology Versatility : Be well-versed with multiple technologies and solutions, adapting to different product suites as needed.
Required Skills and Experience :
Clinical Imaging Technology Experience is required. This position supports both radiology and cardiology. Experience with either PACS or CPACS is acceptable as these are the main systems within the Ascension ecosystem, this position also values knowledge of other clinical imaging technologies. Relevant experience could include systems such as Powerscribe 360, RapidAI, Viewpoint, Merge Hemo, and Client Cardiolab. The ideal candidate would have experience with both PACS and CPACS.
Healthcare Environment : Previous experience working in hospital systems or clinic environments.
Foundational Architecture Knowledge : Understanding of systems architecture used consistently within or across the organization. TOGAF is preferred but not required. However, enterprise architecture experience is required and understanding integrated systems, scalability, security, and compliance in the context of clinical imaging technology (Design and manage the integration of PACS, CPACS, and other imaging systems). Other enterprise architecture frameworks could be acceptable alternatives.
Soft Skills : Strong organizational skills, ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, and a proactive approach to finding answers and solutions.
Technical Versatility : Ability to work with multiple image applications and adapt to different product suites.
Education and Experience : High school diploma / GED with 5 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required. 5 years of experience required. 1 year of leadership or management experience preferred.
Industry Experience : Healthcare provider industry experience is required.
Interview Process :
Resume Review : Initial review of resumes to shortlist candidates.
First Screening : Conducted by one of the senior architects in the team, with participation from the hiring manager.
Video Interview : Candidates are required to participate in a video interview to assess their technical and soft skills.
