What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Mill and Lathe Operators position at Global Contract Manufacturing?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for utilizing shop procedures including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling and non-conformance related activities
Ensure an accurate router accompanies all work orders
Inspect and measure parts as needed, and complete in-process inspections. For any discrepancies notify supervision.
Assist Lead person as needed
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. Alert Lead or Supervisor to any issue(s) on job or machine.
Meet job standard times consistently and communicate to lead or supervisor when not able to make times.
Clean and maintains machines, working area, tooling and parts in optimal production condition.
Ensure company procedures and “best machine practices” are always followed and are in place
Comply with applicable environmental, health and safety laws and regulations, Company policy and accepted safe work practices
Perform additional related duties as assigned
2 to 4 years CNC Lathe or Mill operating experience
Computer skills with ERP systems to enter job data
You should be proficient in:
- GD&T
- Troubleshooting Skills
- Machine Setups for Production Runs
Machines & technologies you'll use:
- CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Haas, Makino, Okuma)
