GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a Middleware Engineer in the Columbus, OH area.

Position Overview :
We are looking for a candidate to function as a SME on enterprise systems, with advance skills in administering WebSphere Application Server, cloud system administration (including Azure, AWS, and Google) and containerized application platform on Linux / AIX. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in a multi-tier and multi-platform enterprise class environments.
Responsibilities
- Assesses and analyzes business requirements, current state environment and technology choices to evaluate security solution alternatives that meet solution architecture needs and support enterprise requirements.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to ensure that project deliverables and deadlines are met.
- Communicate with clients, assisting them with their needs to ensure client satisfaction. Communicate the deployment / release schedule, release artifacts, priorities, and status to all stakeholders.
- Coordinate releases with internal stakeholders.
- Champion best practices and quality standards.
- Participate in functional and technical meetings throughout the development lifecycle.
Perform upgrades, patches, and fix security issues.
Monitor application performance, system performance, troubleshoot and diagnose issues and implement fixes.
Troubleshoot, collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
Participate in defining corporate implementation and integration strategies of new technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with one or more webserver setup Apache, IBM Http Server and IIS.
Experience working with SSL and application security in WebSphere.
Experience implementing security and best practices for cloud-based systems.
Experience deploying Containers, Microservices, Kubernetes, etc. both in on-prem and cloud.
Experience in deploying infrastructure as code using Azure CI / CD Pipe lines from Azure repos.
Preferred Experience
Certifications or Desired skills :
WebSphere, AIX / Unix, Linux, Azure CI / CD, Azure or AWS. RedHat Open Shit, Docker,
Python, Windows Power Shell and JavaScript. Azure Repos and Azure DevOps
