Overview
GDC IT Solutions is currently seeking a hybrid Service Desk Technician in the Washington, D.C. area.
Position Overview
As a Service Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers experiencing issues with hardware and software. This role requires troubleshooting a variety of systems and applications in a Windows-based environment and supporting mobile devices. You will serve as the first point of contact for users, resolving issues related to desktop applications, user accounts, and IT asset management.
Responsibilities
- Respond to service requests and incidents reported by OCFO staff via phone, email, or web portal, ensuring accurate ticket entry and management within defined service level agreements.
- Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support for Windows-based desktop environments, including common applications like Microsoft 365, Adobe, and Active Directory (AD) account management.
- Offer tier 1 and tier 2 support for iOS devices and mobile applications such as email, Microsoft 365, and authentication tools.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, tablets, and other IT assets.
- Collaborate with the network team and application developers to resolve service disruptions and identify issues.
- Simulate or re-create user issues to troubleshoot and resolve incidents.
- Recommend system modifications to minimize recurring problems and reduce service incidents.
