What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd shift Milling, Scanning, and 3D Printing Technician position at Global Dental Science LLC?
Global Dental Science, a company specializing in process automation for dentistry, and makers of AvaDent Digital Dentures, seeks to hire a manufacturing technician to support its growing operation. The technician will work in our Scanning/Milling/3D Printing Department.
The technician will use a scanner to convert physical dental records into digital records for use in our digital design process. Following the design process, the software-generated denture must be milled. The technician is responsible for milling the AvaDent acrylic denture pucks by loading the corresponding milling files, checking machine calibration, and loading the puck on the 5-axis milling machine system. The technician will also be responsible for 3D printing of dentures by loading the corresponding design files, maintenance of the printer, build execution, and post processing the part. Following milling or printing, the technician is responsible for scanning the denture as part of a quality control check.
Rate: $18/hr
We offer paid holidays and 15 days of Paid Time Off a year.
Second shift hours are 12:30PM - 9:00PM. Schedule is Mon-Friday.

The Milling technician should have a high school degree or equivalent. Computer skills are required. Prior experience in a manufacturing technician role, following work instructions and using equipment, preferably a CNC mill, is desired. Technical aptitude and enthusiasm to learn new skills are key.
