We are a dynamic, expanding company with exciting opportunities in language / culture, training / education / instruction, IT, cyber security, and intelligence (analysts, CI, HUMINT, SIGINT, etc.). Global Dimensions is currently seeking a Senior Technical Editor for a position in Columbia, Maryland.
Technical Editor Responsibilities :
- Reviews intelligence products for proper grammar, punctuation, and syntax, as well as for logic, clarity, and consistency.
- Ensures that style and format conform to agency publication standards and that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
- Amends draft tables, tone boxes, and graphics to ensure the content supports and is consistent with the accompanying text.
- Ensures proper classification markings in accordance with IC guidance.
- Works with authors to revise products for narrative organization, and negotiates further revisions as needed.
- Assists in the management of all finished intelligence products approved for external dissemination.
- Researches and collects information from internal and external stakeholder subject matter experts as well as other sources.
- Analyzes, interprets, cross-checks and edits intelligence products, as required, to ensure accuracy and compliance with associated Intelligence Community guidance, to include but not limited to ICDs 206, 209, 501 and 710.
- Organizes information, determines optimum method of presentation, and creates content according to plan.
- Ensures completed materials fulfill the specified purpose and scope.
- Assists in determining and supervising the production process for completed materials.
