Summary:
We seek a highly skilled BIM (Building Information Modeling) Manager to join our team. As the BIM Manager, you will oversee the development, implementation, and management of BIM processes and technology throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures seamless collaboration between design, engineering, and construction teams, driving efficiency and innovation in our projects. The following responsibilities are not all-encompassing, as specific work tasks vary.
Essential Responsibilities:
BIM Strategy and Implementation
- Develop and implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows to ensure consistency across assigned projects.
- Stay updated on advancements in BIM technology and integrate new tools that improve project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and other relevant guidelines.
BIM Coordination and Collaboration
- Collaborate with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to align project goals and deliverables.
- Oversee the integration of civil, structural, geotechnical, and MEP models to support construction sequencing and planning.
Model Development and Maintenance
- Manage the creation, maintenance, and updating of 3D models for heavy civil projects, including infrastructure, bridges, tunnels, and highways.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all BIM models and related documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct quality control reviews of models to ensure they meet project specifications and company standards.
Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and present BIM progress reports and visualizations to management and project stakeholders.
- Utilize BIM data for project analysis, cost estimation, scheduling, and risk assessment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in BIM management preferred.
- Strong industry experience specific to construction, or equivalent knowledge.
- Experience with typical BIM software tools, or equivalents, such as Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and willingness to learn new and project-specific programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional and polished communication style to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, clients, and government agencies.
