The Role:
This role offers a great opportunity to contribute to facility safety and risk management while working in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in API RP 752, 753, and 756 implementations, as well as experience in quantitative risk assessment (QRA) interpretation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate facility siting risks to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement building management procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a facility-wide building register that includes all permanent structures, portable buildings, and temporary shelters.
- Participate in Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR) to verify that all design and installation requirements are met before buildings are occupied.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance and develop corrective action plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure risk mitigation strategies are effectively implemented.
- Analyze and interpret QRA results to support decision-making related to facility siting and building management.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements to ensure continuous improvement in facility siting processes.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility siting, process safety, or risk assessment.
- Strong knowledge and experience with API RP 752, 753, and 756 implementation.
- Understanding of Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) methodologies and the ability to interpret results for facility siting evaluations.
- Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
