Position Overview:

We are in search of an ambitious and proactive Aviation Security professional that will provide oversight of our Aviation Security operation at IAD International Airport.  Under the direction and leadership of the Regional Director, the GM has the overall responsibility to ensure that all station operations are performed in a consistent manner with the agreed procedures and protocol in accordance with company, TSA, airport, and client standards. The GM directs, plans, organizes, and coordinates with collaboration from Operations Managers, and Supervisors the day-to-day operations of the Aviation Security Officer force.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively represent the company and successfully interoperate with Airport Authority stakeholders and law enforcement, as appropriate.
• Meet with the client and stakeholders to ensure quality services, identify trends, and assure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Effectively monitor and guide subordinate supervisors, administrative personnel, and teammates.
• Ensure compliance with and enforcement of HR and company policies and procedures with regard to payroll, performance, attendance, training and station recruitment.
• Ensure cost effective measures across the station.
• Conduct staff briefings.
• Safeguarding company equipment and vehicles
• Provide exceptional customer service to our clients

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen, U. S. national or permanent resident
• Valid state issued driver's license with clean driving record
• At least five (5) years relevant experience in a major installation or business
• Resides within commuting distance of the IAD International Airport- able to report within 45 minutes
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Within the past five (5) years, must have successful experience managing a major security or screening operation
• Working knowledge of the aviation security industry to successfully implement compliant and quality aviation security operations.
• AAAE Airport Certified Employee (ACE) or Certified Member (CM) Security Certification required within six months of hire. Current certification at time of hire is preferable.
• Available to work various shifts, weekends and holidays depending on the airport’s security needs
• Must be willing to pass a 10-year verifiable background check (employment, education, criminal and personal references)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain SIDA badge with Customs seal as distributed by local airport authority and US Customs and Border Patrol
