BA/BS 2 Years’ experience: Network Specialist I: Provide the Tier 1 Network Support. Utilize the data to aggregate data and provide forecasts, gather trend analysis data on systems, and provide input to the PM for resource planning. Facilitate a bi-weekly teleconference with AMC/A6N and gateway personnel to discuss configuration issues and provide a status update on EACN related tasks and validate requirements and determine priorities. Review work/installation progress for accuracy, adherence to network design, and conformance to telecommunications standards. Coordinate network requirements with users and sites. Perform system administration tasks on Microsoft active directory networks. Operate Government-furnished equipment software suites (i.e., SolarWinds) to provide real-time usable statistics to aid with troubleshooting. Provide all maintenance and documentation of ground equipment and systems on a scheduled and unscheduled basis per Air Force Instructions (AFI), 17-100, 17-130 and AFMAN 17-1203. Comply with and support the Air Force Network Operations Center (AFNOC), Network Operations Division (NOD) 26th Network Operations Group (NOG), Detachment 2 and the AFNOC Network Security Division (NSD) AF Computer Response Team (AFCERT). Maintain a Master Station Log (MSL) (007) of all actions performed on site. Master Station Log will be available for review upon request. Possess Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) certification. | ||
Required EACN Specific: Cisco Certified Technician (CCT), experience with CISCO Voice and Security or related expertise or equivalent experience, ITIL Foundations Certification (within 6 months) with related expertise or equivalent experience, and/or AS/BS in related field or equivalent experience, and TOP SECRET Clearance; Desired: MCP/MCSE (role base certification), CCNP, CISSP, and hands on experience with AF Standard Desktop Configuration (SDV) v5.5 and higher, MS Active Directory 2012, MS Server 2012, MS SQL 2012, MS Office, MS Visio, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, SolarWinds Orion, CommVault, Remedy Action Request System (ARS) IT Service Management software (or equivalent; e.g., ServiceNow ITSM), Sonus VX Watch, Sonus VX Builder, Sonus VX Gate, Putty, Windows Server update Services (WSUS), Cisco Unified Communications Services (UCS), Cisco 2901 Voice Telephone and System, Cisco 2901 IOS, Symantec/McAfee Antivirus, Host Based Security System (HBSS), Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), WinSCP, Wireshark, Linux, VMWare, Spirent Text Center, IXIA Splunk, RSA 2-factor authentication. | ||
