Job Title: Senior Inventory and Logistics Specialist
Reports to: Director of Operations
Job Summary
The Senior Inventory and Logistics Specialist plays a key role in optimizing the company's inventory and logistics operations. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this position is responsible for overseeing the efficient movement of goods, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and logistics vendors.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain an MRPT (moderate risk public trust) background check from U.S. Department of State.
MRPT is not required prior to applying; GET will begin the process once the right candidate is selected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
As a Senior Inventory and Logistics Specialist, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Inventory Management:
- Manage, track, and order inventory to meet both customer and company needs, ensuring stock levels are optimal and orders are fulfilled promptly.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports, including status updates, trends, and forecasts, to ensure informed decision-making.
- Maintain inventory integrity and oversee product condition, ensuring items are ready for shipment and meet company standards.
Logistics Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee domestic and international shipments, ensuring timely delivery of goods.
- Track shipment progress to guarantee on-time arrivals and resolve any delays or discrepancies.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to manage and replenish stock in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Vendor and Supplier Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics vendors and suppliers, while exploring opportunities for cost savings and alternative solutions.
- Review and approve shipping invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and manage import/export logistics.
Process Optimization and Reporting:
- Continuously assess and improve logistics and inventory processes, including identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and present regular reports on inventory and logistics performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with various departments to communicate inventory and shipping status and address any operational challenges.
Compliance and Auditing:
- Adhere to regulatory requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards, including coordinating with the Company Facility Security Officer on security protocols.
- Assist with annual inventory audits and ensure the accuracy of purchase order data, including items, quantities, and delivery dates.

Discrepancy Resolution:
- Identify and resolve any order or billing discrepancies in collaboration with the accounting team and vendors.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Operations, Logistics, or related field
- Proven experience in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain operations, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage and interpret large data sets.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to keep track of inventory and shipments Experience with global shipping regulations, including U.S. Customs compliance.
- Proficient in inventory management software, Excel, and other reporting tools.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage relationships with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to identify and fix shipping errors quickly to minimize delays.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving experience to safely transport packages to and from destinations using the company vehicle.
- Ability to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder for inventory management.
- Ability to routinely lift, carry and move shipping boxes weighing approximately 20-40 pounds.
