Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is looking for a Fleet Diesel Mechanic. This position is responsible for conducting hands-on maintenance and repairs on fleet of Company Vacuum trucks, Heavy-Duty Trucks, and Water Blasting Equipment.

Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities with specialization in hydro blasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of waste processing and handling services to ensure that waste generated from client sites, is collected, transported, and disposed of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork such as Repair Orders, Inspections, and Inventory Sheets.
- Ensure expected completion timelines for various repairs are met and that equipment is repaired and sent out in a timely preventative maintenance manner.
- Monitor all equipment to ensure it is in superior working condition to leave on a job or if it is in need of repair for safety reasons.
- Ensure the shop area is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times as per office expectations, reporting all hazards and near misses as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as directed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to carry/move up to 50 Lbs.
- Ability to perform manual labor in an outside setting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work over an 8-hour shift if required. May be called out for Emergency response.
- 2 year experience in a shop environment.
- 2 year experience working as a Mechanic on Heavy Duty Equipment.
- 2 year experience Maintaining/Repairing of Water blasting Equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year motor vehicle driving record.
- Ability to read and understanding technical blueprints.
- Related mechanical certifications are an asset.
- Follow GEIR safety standards.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a clean record for the last 3 years.
PAY:
- $23-$30/hour (Pay is commensurate with prior experience)
