Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is looking for a Fleet Manager. The Fleet Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of the fleet of vehicles, trailers, and equipment. This includes managing maintenance schedules, fuel management, regulatory compliance, and cost optimization. The role ensures that the fleet is running efficiently, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting organizational and operational goals.

Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities with specialization in hydro blasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of waste processing and handling services to ensure that waste generated from client sites is collected, transported, and disposed of by local, state, and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs of all vehicles in the fleet.
- Ensure vehicles are compliant with safety and environmental regulations.
- Develop and manage the fleet budget.
- Monitor and control operational costs, including fuel, maintenance, and vehicle acquisition costs.
- Work with vendors/suppliers to obtain pricing and delivery dates.
- Look for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
- Manage the process of acquiring new vehicles with the CFO for the fleet, including selecting models and negotiating purchase or lease terms.
- Ensure timely disposal of outdated or unneeded vehicles or equipment.
- Ensure fleet operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain records for inspections, maintenance, and any accidents or incidents.
- Prepare reports for senior management regarding fleet performance, issues, and costs.
- Implement and oversee fleet management software systems for tracking vehicle performance, maintenance schedules, fuel usage, and more.
- Manage fleet mechanics and coordinate weekly schedules.
- Coordinate with operations managers and project coordinators on work schedules/equipment needs.
- Work with the team to complete assigned repairs.
- Perform other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing a large or diverse fleet.
- Knowledge of environmental sustainability in transportation.
- Fleet certification or formal training in fleet management.
- Proven experience in fleet management or a related field.
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair processes.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
- Experience using modern diagnostic software (Cummins Insite/JPRO)
- Proficient in fleet management software (Fleetio, Samsara) and general office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
PAY:
- $80K - $100K / yearly
