Job Summary
The Facility Set-Up Technician is responsible for preparing and maintaining facilities for meetings, special events, conferences, Sunday services, and various ministry activities. This role ensures that event spaces, furniture, and equipment are arranged according to specifications and in a timely manner. Additionally, the Facility Set-Up Technician assists with logistical coordination, maintains inventory, and ensures compliance with safety protocols. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, and the physical stamina to handle manual labor tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and break down facilities for meetings, special events, conferences, Sunday services, and other ministry activities according to predetermined layouts and specifications.
- Move and arrange office spaces, furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to accommodate staff and ministry needs.
- Ensure timely and efficient execution of set-up activities while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Assist with the coordination of logistics for events, including transportation, placement, and storage of equipment and materials.
- Maintain and track inventory of set-up materials, equipment, and supplies, ensuring appropriate stock levels and replenishment as needed.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders, staff, and volunteers to ensure seamless execution of set-up tasks.
- Uphold and adhere to safety standards and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment.
- Respond promptly to requests for set-up support from staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Assist with minor facility maintenance tasks, including basic repairs and upkeep of event equipment and furniture.
- Report any facility-related concerns, damages, or hazards to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Ensure that all set-up areas remain clean, organized, and ready for use.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the ministry and its objectives.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, employees will frequently be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 15 pounds occasionally, and more than 40 pounds infrequently with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Schedule
Monday – Sunday schedule availability required.
Schedule may vary according to business and ministry needs, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
