What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibitor Specialist position at Global Experience Specialists, Inc?
The Exhibitor Success Floor Specialist is responsible assisting exhibitors who exhibit at tradeshows, conventions and special events produced by Global Experience Specialists (GES). The primary service location will be on the show floor working one on one with each exhibitor to make their tradeshow experience with GES a success.
This role will report directly to the Manager of Exhibitor Success, Show Site.
The successful candidate will be a socially bold individual who takes initiative and works independently on behalf of Exhibitor Success. This person is service oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. They will handle multiple priorities such as service, sales and problem solving while working with exhibitors and internal colleges.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the pre-show planning process as assigned.
- Proactively engage exhibitors face to face on the show floor.
- Actively solicit feedback from exhibitors on the show floor.
- Support the service desk and coordinator tasks as needed.
- Participate in timely completion of show site tasks as assigned.
- Create, maintain, process exhibitor’s orders.
- Support billing and collection for products and services rendered by GES.
- Conduct invoice reviews with exhibitors as requested.
- Conduct post show exhibitor follow-up as assigned.
- Assist on projects as assigned.

Experience and Required Traits:
Customer Experience - 1 years in customer service or similar roles preferably in the tradeshow industry. Be the first person from GES the exhibitor communicates with at show site. Interact with exhibitors to address their concerns, provide new services, answer questions, and assist them with their needs.
Socially Bold – Interact with exhibitors in social situations, readily introduce yourself to strangers, comfortable in groups and no fear public speaking.
Initiative Driven – Assess and anticipate exhibitor needs and seize the opportunity act.
Independence – Relay on your ability to work independently. Take responsibility for your actions and decisions without seeking validation from others.
Flexibility – Work outside of your role or department for the greater good. Embrace working a in team setting and individually. This role requires flexibility in your schedule as overtime, weekends, and travel will occur about 50-75% of the time.
On the move – Regularly required to walk and stand for long durations.
